Rome – Lecture at Nato Defense College: Balkan Intervention - From war to peace to limbo?

ESI's Gerald Knaus delivered a lecture at the NATO Defense College in Rome on the Western Balkans to an audience of military officers and government officials. Course participants included 61 military officers and their civilian equivalents from different ministries from 28 NATO- and non-NATO countries.

Gerald talked about lessons from past interventions in the Balkans and associated risks.
