Kiev – ESI at thought leaders seminar

From 19 to 21 April 2015 ESI's deputy chairman Kristof Bender participated in a working visit of European journalists and think tankers to Kiev. The visit was organised by the Institute of World Policy (IWP) in co-operation with CIDOB from Barcelona. "Our primary goal is to create a powerful expert network in support of a European and democratic Ukraine," said Alyona Getmanchuk, Director of the Institute of World Policy, in her welcoming note. 

The group had meetings with over 30 politicians, opinion leaders, analysts and civil society representatives. They included Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Minister of Finance Natalie Jaresko, Deputy Parliament Speaker Andriy Parubiy, the Head of the Presidential Administration Borys Lozhkin, Security Service adviser Yevgan Marchuk and Refat Chubarov, head of the Council of Representatives of the Crimean Tatar People.
