Belgrade – ESI at regional conference on the latest strategy of the European Commission for the Western Balkans

ESI analyst Adnan Cerimagic took part in a regional conference in Belgrade co-hosted by the Serbian think tank European Policy Centre (CEP), the Think for Europe Network and the European Commission's Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR) on "EU and the Western Balkans: Towards greater credibility and engagement on both sides".

Adnan spoke at the panel on "Rule of law promotion and enforcement in the Western Balkans: how effective is the EU in applying its conditionality mechanisms?" and presented ESI's latest reports and ideas on methodology used in the Commission's annual reports, the most recent European Commission's strategy for the Western Balkans and the future of the EU integration process in the Western Balkans. The conference was attended by representatives of the Western Balkans governments, the civic sector, embassies in Belgrade and DG NEAR.
