From 10 July to 12 July 2019, ESI's Gerald Knaus travelled to Madrid to present to EU and Spanish diplomats a proposal for visa free travel for Morocco in exchange for strategic cooperation and humane border controls.
Amongst others, Gerald met representatives of the ministries of Foreign Affairs, Interior and Labour & Migration and several EU diplomats. He also spoke at a conference organised by the FEPS Global Migration Group, which was chaired by former Italian prime Minister Giuliano Amato.
