ESI outside Baku: How women live in rural Azerbaijan

1 September 2008

During the first week of September, ESI analysts Arzu Geybullayeva and Besa Shahini visited the region of Sheki in northern Azerbaijan. During their research trip Arzu and Besa visited two villages – Boyuk Dehne and Inke – where they interviewed local women as well as local government representatives.

During the following weeks, Arzu met with several lawyers, representatives of women NGOs, and international organizations.
