ESI at the ECFR Council Meeting in Tallinn

As one of its founding members ESI's Gerald Knaus joined the 4th Council Meeting of the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) in Tallinn, Estonia.

The ECFR is to promote a more integrated European foreign policy in support of shared European interests and values. With a policy team in seven capitals – London, Paris, Berlin, Rome, Sofia, Madrid and Warsaw – it unites some of the continent's most distinguished researchers and analysts to promote Europe's role in the world.

Participants of the Council Meeting included, among others, George Soros (Chairman, Open Society Institute), Emma Bonino (Vice President of the Italian Senate), Martti Ahtisaari (Chairman of the Board, Crisis Management Initiative; former Finnish President), Marek Belka (Director, UN Economic Commission for Europe; former Polish Prime Minister), Laurent Fabius (former French Prime Minister), Lionel Jospin (former French Prime Minister), and Mart Laar (MP; former Estonian Prime Minister).
