Brussels – ESI at discussion on how to boost the renewed momentum for EU enlargement

ESI analyst Adnan Cerimagic participated in a panel discussion on "The European Union and the Western Balkans: How to boost the renewed momentum for enlargement?", an event organised by the Austrian Presidency of the Council of the EU, Austro-French Centre for Rapprochement in Europe (ÖFZ-CFA), Centre international de formation européenne (CIFE) and the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP). The event took place on 22 November 2018 in Brussels.

Adnan presented ESI's latest reports and ideas on the future of EU enlargement to the Western Balkans. Other speakers included Klaus Wölfer, Director for EU Enlargement and South-East Europe at the Austrian Foreign Ministry, Mateo Bonomi, researcher at the Istituto Affari Internazionali from Rome, Simonida Kacarska, director of the European Policy Institute in Skopje, Stefan Lehne, visiting scholar at the Carnegie Europe in Brussels and Sabina Lange, senior lecturer at the European Institute of Public Administration in Maastricht. The event was attended by EU and the Western Balkans diplomats, as well as members of the European Parliament and officials of the European Commission and the Council.
