Berlin – ESI at discussion on housing for refugees and migrants
ESI’s Gerald Knaus was invited to give a presentation on “How do we master the refugee movement?” at the Real Estate Day organised by the Central Real Estate Committee (ZIA).
In his presentation, Gerald stressed that the German Federal Government and the German states need to ensure a fair distribution of Ukrainian refugees across the country. He also underlined the urgency of schooling Ukrainian children, and housing refugees, and how Germany’s biggest cities – Berlin, Hamburg, and Munich – are currently under heavy pressure. Therefore, distributing Ukrainian refugees across Europe is key, not only to help the refugees but also to aid Ukraine’s neighbouring countries.
