Rome – ESI debating refugee and migration policy at the Festival della Diplomazia

ESI's Gerald Knaus was invited to the "Festival della Diplomazia" in Rome where he spoke at a panel on "Migration amid integration and development aid". The panel was co-organised by the European Commission in Italy and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung.
Gerald presented ESI's Rome Plan for the refugee crisis in the Central Mediterranean and debated with:

- Beatrice Covassi, Head of European Commission Representation in Italy
- Caroline Kanter, Director, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Italy

- Stephane Jaquemet, UNHCR Regional Representative for Southern Europe
- Emilio Ciarlo, Agenzia Italiana Cooperazione e Sviluppo
