Skopje – ESI debates overcoming bilateral disputes in the Western Balkans

ESI analyst Adnan Cerimagic participated in a conference titled "Reinforcing the European Integration of the Western Balkans: Learning from the Past, Preparing for the Future", organised by the Institute for Democracy Societas Civilis (IDSCS) from Skopje, the Centre for Eastern Studies (OSW) from Warsaw and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland.

The conference took place on 14 May 2019 in Skopje. Adnan spoke at a panel titled "Western Balkans regional cooperation: How to overcome bilateral issues?" He presented ESI's research on EU and Western Balkans, in particular related to the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue and to measuring and incentivizing reforms in the Western Balkans. Other speakers at the panel included Srdjan Majstorovic, European Policy Centre Belgrade, Nikolaus Tzifakis, University of Peloponnese, Tatjana Lazarevic, KoSSev portal Kosovska Mitrovica, Naim Rashiti, Balkans Policy Research Group Pristina. Participants included diplomats, officials and parliamentarians, as we as representatives of civil society from the Western Balkans.
