Will O'Connor, a UK-based dual British-Irish citizen, joined ESI in April 2021 as a Fellow, working primarily on UK asylum policy. He also works as a Researcher for the Institute of Business Ethics in London, advising organisations on topics including human rights and modern slavery, bribery, money laundering and whistle-blower protection. After studying Politics and International Relations at undergraduate level, he completed an MA in Corruption and Governance, both at the University of Sussex, Brighton. His MA thesis focused on threats to the integrity of the UK's electoral processes. He also previously carried out an internship at Transparency International UK researching the involvement of the UK financial services sector in high-profile transnational corruption cases. He speaks English and intermediate German.
