Kyle Zurcher (USA/Switzerland) holds a B.A. in International Relations and Middle Eastern Studies from Brown University, and he is currently completing his Master’s Thesis in International Relations on the Use of Terror Charges in Turkey with the support of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) at Humboldt University of Berlin and Middle Eastern Technical University. He previously taught English as a U.S. Fulbright Fellow at multiple universities across Turkey, was a Fellow of the German Bundestag’s International Parliamentary Scholarship, and researched Disinformation with the U.S. Department of State. His main fields of interest include democratization and social movements in Turkey and Central Europe. He joined ESI as a Junior Fellow in April 2021.
