Tirana – ESI at executive training on strategic communication for EU integration

Adnan Ćerimagić, ESI’s senior analyst, co-led the Executive Education Programme on Strategic Communication for EU Integration, held on 30 September – 1 October 2025 at the Tirana International Hotel in Albania.
The training, organised by Regional School for Public Administration (ReSPA), brought together public officials from across the Western Balkans. The programme focused on equipping participants with modern tools for effective communication of EU reforms, strengthening institutional coordination, and building resilience against disinformation.
The first day featured expert-led sessions by Marija Golubeva, former minister of interior of Latvia, on framing EU topics for citizens, communicating reforms in times of crisis, and developing reform narratives. On the second day, Adnan led sessions on Political Messaging in EU Accession, Scenario-based Group Work, and Dealing with Disinformation. He worked with participants to test different communication strategies, analyse Eurobarometer results, and develop responses to political and media challenges.
The programme concluded with group presentations and a joint reflection on how to enhance public trust in EU integration through transparent and credible communication.
