Prizren – ESI discusses EU enlargement with young activists and politicians

ESI senior analyst Adnan Cerimagic took part in the Political Academy 2025, organised by the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) in Prevalla near Prizren, Kosovo. The academy brought together young political activists and future decision-makers from Kosovo.
In a panel titled “The future of the EU and the Enlargement Policy”, Adnan joined Frauke Seebass for an in-depth discussion on the challenges and opportunities facing the Western Balkans on their path to EU membership. He addressed the current state of EU enlargement policy, the role of credible meassuring of the level of prepardness of candidates, and what would be needed to accelerate progress in the region.
The Political Academy is one of FES Kosovo’s flagship initiatives, fostering informed dialogue on democracy, rule of law, and regional cooperation. ESI is proud to support such efforts and to contribute to shaping a European future for the Western Balkans.
