Berlin – ESI discusses EU enlargement with Serbian journalists

Adnan Cerimagic, senior analyst at the ESI, engaged in a discussion with a group of Serbian journalists. They visited Berlin as part of the Pulse of Europe – Media Trips to EU project, organised in cooperation with the German Embassy in Belgrade. It took place from 30 March to 4 April 2025.
On 2 April 2025, Adnan presented ESI’s analysis on the current state of EU enlargement, particularly in light of Germany’s evolving stance under the incoming government. His conversation with the journalists also covered the EU's strategic approach to global security challenges and the creation of a new EU security framework.
The media trip aimed to offer Serbian journalists deeper insights into European practices and foster stronger cooperation between Germany and the Western Balkans, specifically in the areas of economy, security, and EU integration. The group also visited institutions such as the German Federal Foreign Office and the European Central Bank, where discussions on anti-money laundering and other EU policies took place.
