Nina Kurt joined ESI as a junior fellow in December 2024. She holds a BA degree in international relations and diplomacy and is currently pursuing the International Master in Security, Intelligence and Strategic Studies, a joint programme offered by the University of Glasgow, the University of Trento, and Charles University in Prague. She has gained work experience through internship programmes in the Swiss non-profit organisation FOMOSO, with UNDP in Sarajevo, and WANEP in Ghana. She is a member of the OSCE Pool of Young Experts. As a freelance researcher and writer, Nina is the author of many articles, research papers, and essays concerning human rights, security, geopolitics, international relations, armed conflicts, humanitarian crises, and peacebuilding. She has participated in various projects, seminars, training sessions, and conferences in the fields of security and peace studies, Euro-Atlantic integration, international relations, crisis management, and European studies. She speaks English, German, Italian, Croatian, and Bosnian.
