Julian Wood (former staff)

Julian Wood (UK) joined ESI as a Junior Fellow in November 2024. He studied History & English at the University of Oxford and is currently finishing a PhD at the University of Cambridge, where his thesis focuses on interfaith relations in the medieval Middle East. Before joining ESI, Julian also taught at Cambridge and worked at the UK Government Department for Education. His research interests include cultural heritage policy, frozen conflict zones, and the demographic and regional dynamics of elections and referenda.
