Podgorica – ESI in jury for Balkan Fellowship for Journalistic Excellence
Meeting in Podgorica on 14 December 2018, the jury of the Balkan Fellowship for Journalistic Excellence, including ESI’s Kristof Bender, chose the winners of the 2018 programme. The first prize went to Claudia Ciobanu, a freelance journalist from Romania, for her investigation of global ties between ultra-conservative movements opposing gay marriage and gender equality in South East Europe. The second prize went to Ivana Jeremic from Serbia for a courageous investigative research revealing links between politics, crime and football hooliganism in Serbia. The thrid prize went to Andjela Milivojevic for her work exploring political violence in northern Kosovo.
