Vienna – ESI discussing refugee crisis at International Peace Institute

ESI's Kristof Bender participated at an expert brainstorming organised by the International Peace Instutute in Vienna on "How to Protect Borders and Refugees?".

Other participants included Melissa Fleming, UNHCR spokesperson, Kilian Kleinschmidt, fromer manager of the Zatari Camp in Jordan, Manfred Nowak, scientific director of the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Human Rights, Heinz Patzelt, Secretary General of Amnesty International Austria, Martijn Pluim, Director Eastern Dimension of the International Center for Migration Policy Development, and Adriano Silvestry, head of Sector Asylum, Migration and Borders, freedoms and Justice Department, European Union Agency or Fundamental Rights. The event was moderated by IPI senior vice president Walter Kemp.
